Origin
SELVANE works long-term with traceable ranch partners across Mongolia and Inner Mongolia. Wind and temperature shifts shape a denser undercoat—light, yet naturally warm.
Harvest only between March and May, in harmony with the goats' natural shedding cycle. Beyond standard testing, we verify wear-feel at the garment level. Any lot that fails to deliver coat-grade structure is not used—even from the same origin.

Module 3
Process
Spinning partner: Consinee—also a long-term partner of leading luxury houses. Custom yarn grade based on SELVANE's structure and hand-feel standards.
Equipment: German STOLL and Japanese SHIMA SEIKI top-tier flat knitting machines. Slow knitting for density and precision—needle speed approximately 60 cycles/min versus conventional 150 cycles/min. Slower speed equals smoother fabric surface and more controllable shrinkage.
Support
Lifetime Care
SELVANE provides free lifetime care and repair support for our cashmere pieces. Based on the garment's condition and the nature of the damage, we will assess and recommend appropriate care, cleaning guidance, and repair options—so your coat can be worn and kept for years.
Care and Shape Support: When cared for in accordance with our guidance and suitable cleaning methods, cashmere is designed to maintain its integrity. If shape issues occur after cleaning, we can offer inspection and reshaping support where applicable.
Accidental Damage Support: For everyday incidents—such as localized stains or minor snags—we will assess and provide the most feasible repair treatment.
